Adding Content in Lessons Area

How to Add Content in Lessons Area

Add a folder, blank page, file, Web Link and YouTube video to your lessons. Instructions were created in Mozilla Firefox on Windows 7. Blackboard might look slightly different on other systems.

To create a folder

Click Build Content and click Content Folder.

Mouse over "Build Content" and choose "Content Folder."

Create Content Folder page displays. Name the folder. Best practice: title a folder with a topic, e.g. “Module 1: Chapter 1 – Foundations of Education.” A description of folder contents can be provided in the Text area.

Create Content Folder setings

If desired, you can specify when the folder is visible to students with the availability settings. The default setting is to be available throughout the term. Whether you specify availability dates or not, click Submit when finished.
