Rapid Prototyping in a Space for Innovative Ideas: Welcome to the Fab Lab

Originally piloted at MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms (CBA), a Fab Lab is “a technical prototyping platform for innovation and invention, providing stimulus for local entrepreneurship. A Fab Lab is also a platform for learning and innovation: a place to play, to create, to learn, to mentor, and to invent,” according to the organizers of MCC’s Fab Lab.

Located at the Fort Omaha campus, MCC’s Fab Lab is a collaborative space that brings together students, instructors and community members in pursuit of creativity and technical know-how.To learn more about the Fab Lab, check out this special, on-location edition of “Metro and More.”
